Dr Graham Wheeler Deputy Head of Statistics, ICTU
Graham Wheeler is Deputy Head of Statistics in the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit and Senior Lecturer in Imperial College London’s School of Public Health. His research focuses on adaptive designs for clinical trials and their use in practice, particularly Bayesian methods in early phase trials, and he is the Senior Statistician on several surgical trials based at Imperial College. Prior to joining Imperial, Graham obtained a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Cambridge and worked at Cambridge’s MRC Biostatistics Unit and the CRUK & UCL Cancer Trials Centre. Graham is an Independent Statistician for several external clinical trials and sits on committees for the NIHR Statistics Group’s Early Phase Trials Section and the NCRI’s Teenage, Young Adult Germ and Cell Therapy group. He also serves the MRC’s Experimental Medicine Funding Panel and is a Statistical Ambassador for the Royal Statistical Society.
